Title: Scenic Road Trip avoiding interstates...
Post by: ll_casey on August 21, 2012, 09:31:47 AM
Hi everyone,

My brother and I are taking a road trip through the South and we were wondering if you could offer advice and expertise on the best routes. Our definition of best is aesthetic so old two lane highways and scenic routes are definitely encouraged.

These are our journeys:

1. New Orleans to Breaux Bridge, LA

2. Breaux Bridge LA to Port Gibson MS (we'd like to include the Natchez Trace Parkway)

3. Port Gibson to Clarksdale MS

4. Clarksdale MS to Nashville TN

5. Nashville TN to Charleston SC (this is a big stretch so interstate may be unavoidable (?))

6. Savannah GA to Eufaula AL

7. Eufaula AL to New Orleans LA

We are Irish people living in England so suffice it to say we are totally ignorant and would be hugely grateful for any guidance!

Many thanks,

Laura

Laura, I'll try to get back to you later today by editing this post. I think I can help out.
